Alone by Homophobia

You laughed at him, taunted him, and threw stuff at him in class. You ganged up on him and made him tear up. You threatened him and never made him feel safe, even online. You followed him to the bathroom with a camera and a surprise. And when I tried to stand up for him, you all went after me, including him. Homophobia brings out the worst in people; it leaves you isolated and unable to distinguish friend from foe. The urgent need to feel accepted makes us want to do horrible things. No wonder some of us kill themselves. Fight against homophobia, fight for us.
